Please refer all questions to our email, not directly to the Boy Scout and Girl Scout Camps.
We will update you just as soon as things are ready to go. Thank you for your patience. We are working hard to put everything in place!

10/24/22: It is with great pleasure that The Conch Republic Area of Narcotics Anonymous would like to announce the Annual Spiritual Retreat aka Recovery in Paradise is back after
5 LONG YEARS!
As most of you know Recovery in Paradise held its 25th annual event in April 2017. In September of that same year, Hurricane Irma destroyed the Sugarloaf KOA, where the retreat had been held for the last 15 years. When the KOA finally rebuilt, the facility was not logistically suitable for our needs. We have been diligently searching and have finally found the perfect site to hold the 26th annual Recovery in Paradise!
The retreat will be held April 27-30th, 2023 in Big Pine Key in the Florida Keys. Big Pine is about 30 miles north of Key West and 20 miles south of Marathon. It’s a two-and-a-half-hour breathtaking drive from the Miami Airport. The event will be held at Camp Jackson Sawyer and Camp Wesumkee. This will be a great opportunity to connect with recovering addicts from South Florida, the country, and all over the world!
It is important at this time to inform you that the camping will be different from years past. RVs will be allowed on property but there are no hook ups. We will have a company coming to the site Friday, Saturday and Sunday that will be available to pump out your septic tank. There will be flush toilets and showers on site as well as ample porta toilets throughout the property. There will be merchandise and food vendors on site. Workshops and main speaker meetings will take place as usual.
Attendees can camp in tents or bring an RV. There is a website https://www.outdoorsy.com where you can reserve and have your RV delivered to the campsite. There are other websites that provide this same service. There are also multiple companies in Miami (or Fort Lauderdale if that is where you fly into) that you can rent an RV from and drive it down to Big Pine such as https://www.cruiseamerica.com.
There are other camping facilities and hotels in the area such as https://www.floridastateparks.org/BahiaHonda,
Please email [email protected] with any questions
We are so looking forward to seeing everyone and having an incredible 26th annual Recovery in Paradise!
